But of that day and that hour knoweth no man?

Discover the right translation for this verse

ribete

Once the time of the end has come, God has already given light on when the 6,000 years of history will end. This will occur in the fall of 2031.

But the month and year are not the day and the hour. Shortly before the consummation of time, the voice of the Father will announce the day and hour to the 144,000 Christ loyalists who will be left alive at the time of Jesus’ second coming, despite papal persecution.

Introduction

ribete

The Hebraism ‘no one knows the day and the hour’ appears in two biblical verses, in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. Below you can find the usual translation that is accepted as correct:

📖 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:36)

📖 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. (Mark 13:32)

In Mark’s gospel verse, it is assured the Son of God does not know the hour of His coming. If God is omniscient and Jesus is God, it is impossible for Christ to be unaware of the hour of his second coming or anything else. Therefore, this incorrect translation implicitly denies that Jesus is God. From the understanding of this matter, it is convenient to investigate the original biblical text, as well as its right translation and meaning. Below you will find a detailed explanation on this matter.

The hif'il conjugation

ribete

In the original Greek text of these biblical passages from Matthew 24:36 & Mark 13:32, ‘But of that day and that hour knoweth no man’, the word ‘knoweth’ (οιδεν in the original text) contains a Greek form of the Hebrew hif’il conjugation.

In verbs denoting action, the hif’il conjugation provides a causative meaning, in which the action passes to another. Therefore, the verb ‘to know’ combined with the hif’il conjugation is translated as ‘to make other know’, ‘to declare’, ‘to inform’ or ‘to show to another’.

The right translation for both biblical verses is as follows:

📖 But the day and the hour no one makes known, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. (Matthew 24:36)

📖 But of that day and hour no one makes known, not even the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. (Mark 13:32)

In conclusion, Christ knows the day of his second coming, as do the angels faithful to God. Now, we also know that it will occur in Tabernacles (September/October) of the year 2031. But it will be the Father, with His own voice, who will announce the day and hour of Jesus’ second coming, very shortly before it happens.

The voice of the Father will announce the day and the hour

ribete

During the last months of this world’s history, the stars will not maintain their usual functioning. Most probably, the fields will offer no fruit or harvest. For this reason, it will not be possible to count the beginning of the last Hebrew year, usually calculated according to the ripening of the barley and the lunar cycle. Consequently, it will be impossible to count in which part of the calendar the feast of Tabernacles in the year 2031 will be established. Although we know that the second coming of Jesus will occur during this feast, we will not be able to know when it will happen.

In these circumstances of uncertainty and chaos, the voice of the Father will announce the day and hour of Jesus’ second coming, the great and terrible day of Jehovah. The 144,000 living saints will recognize and understand the voice, but the wicked will think they hear the rumbling of thunder and earthquake.

The true people of God will stand with their eyes fixed on high, listening to the words proceeding from the lips of the Most High, which will resound throughout the earth like the rumbling of immense thunder. It will be a solemn spectacle. At the end of every sentence, the saints will exclaim: Glory! Hallelujah!

When the plan of redemption is consummated, the sabbatical millennium in Heaven will begin. The earth will rest for a thousand years, once purified by fire.
